down home by sumac & salt
Down Home is a heartfelt farm to table restaurant found in the rolling countryside of Grey County. We strive to tell the stories of our local farmers and producers through collaborative tasting menus and curious dining.
We invite you to join us as we enjoy an evening together over a 10 course tasting style menu that follows the rhythm of the seasons with a focus on foraging, gardening, sustainability and small scale businesses within Grey County. Additionally we strive to change the negative narrative behind Ontario wines with a complete focus on Canadian beverages and an ever changing Ontario wine pairing.
It would be our pleasure to host you for an evening on the farm. We are currently operating on Fridays and Saturdays and the occasional Thursdays. One seating per evening starting at 6:30 and we approximately expect guests to be here for 3-3.5 hours.
Available as an add-on to your stay, let us take care of your reservation, or feel free to book on your own.
